We're looking for an experienced SDET Lead to drive our end-to-end test automation strategy and ensure the reliability, scalability, and quality of our AI-native underwriting platform. You will architect robust automation frameworks, enhance test coverage, and work closely with engineering teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is passionate about building world-class automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
Execute automated tests, analyse results, and report defects to the engineering team.
Collaborate with developers to understand software requirements and design effective test strategies.
Identify, record, document, and track bugs and issues through resolution.
Perform thorough regression testing when defects are fixed.
Continuously enhance automation frameworks and improve overall test coverage.
Work within an Agile/Scrum environment and actively participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Stay current with emerging testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or similar role.
Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
Proficiency in Python programming.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.
Excellent analytical and problem–solving abilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Experience with performance and security testing.
Knowledge of SQL and experience with database testing.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Experience working with cloud-based testing environments.
