QA - Manual

We're looking for a QA Manual Engineer to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, stable, and reliable product experience. You will rigorously test features across platforms, own test planning and execution, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and safeguard the performance of Pibit's underwriting platform. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone detail-oriented, structured, and passionate about delivering a flawless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing across various platforms and environments.
  • Write detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across different stages of the SDLC.
  • Identify, document, and report software defects clearly and reproducibly.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure defects are understood, prioritized, and resolved effectively.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to align test cases with business and product expectations.
  • Review and analyze system specifications to craft comprehensive test strategies and plans.
  • Ensure consistent execution of testing processes throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Retest resolved defects to validate fixes and ensure no regression issues.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to share testing progress and blockers.
  • Maintain test environments, tools, and systems to support efficient and accurate testing.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of proven experience as a Manual Tester or in a similar QA role.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and testing processes.
  • Experience with test case management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Quality Center.
  • Hands-on experience writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic programming knowledge or ability to understand code is a plus.
